A Unique Garden Wall Decoration
Decorative garden wall plaques take their inspiration from ancient Greek are. Wall plaques were usually made of marble and were usually brightly colored with classic designs.
The ancient Greeks had an abundance of marble and were fond of using it in making decorative wall hangings. These were usually carved with intricate scenes of Gods or nature. Although most of the examples that are seen today have long since lost their brightly painted colors to age, a few have been preserved to show that the Greeks preferred to paint over the stone with very bright colors. The decorative garden wall plaques that are becoming popular today follow this classic Greek idea.
Decorative garden wall plaques in the modern era were also often made from marble or other expensive stone. For a long time the style was to not use bright colors. The stone slabs, although intricate in design, would be generally plain in color. This was to copy what was perceived as the Greek classical style because most pieces had long since lost their color to the effects of aging. In the garden, the wall plaque often was used as an identifying marker that denoted the garden’s owner.
Recent decorative wall plaques have tended to abandon the idea of unpainted stone and returned to bright colors. Although they are sometimes used indoors as wall hanging, their use in the garden continues. In the garden, they are used both as wall hangings or sometimes as stepping stones. Many of the companies that sell the plaques advertise them as both.
Many of them still follow classic design motifs with lots of animals, nature scenes, and also scenes from mythology. More and more, however, less classical themes are being employed in both the wall hangings and the stepping stones. School emblems have become popular as well as cartoon characters. When used as indoor wall hangings, the designs fit well with most decorative interior design styles. Cottage style d

Bathroom Wall Decor – Creative Ideas For Bathroom Wall Decor
A bathroom whether it is an independent unit or attached to a bedroom will always have tiles running around all wall surfaces. I some cases the tiles are fixed up to 4 feet height and then the wall are painted with a waterproof painting to prevent the seepage of water into the brick walls.
If you bathroom is small, you can use this to your advantage. Normally the small or big size of any space is perceived because of the border walls of any room. Using unique flooring and wall decor ideas you can easily remove the perception of borders and the room looks bigger.
You can do this by creating a flooring pattern in the bathroom using tiles and then continue this pattern on the walls as wall decor theme. You can do this up to 4 feet height as well. This will break out the dimensions of the bathroom and it will appear bigger.
Thus bathroom wall decor plays a major role in how the bathroom look when finished this because unlike every other room in your home, a bathroom has a limited number of furniture and decorating accessories available.
However if you follow a design theme while creating the plans and other drawings, it becomes very cost effective. First of all in most cases such as apartment bathrooms the height of the bathroom is smaller than the rest of the room. This is done because the dimensions of the bathroom are smaller too.
In such cases all can be treated with murals of ceramic times. While choosing the tiles it is necessary to understand who is going to use the bathroom. A bathroom wall decor theme will differ from a teenager’s bathroom that a kid’s bathroom.
Everything from color schemes to which pattern you choose on the tile such as baby animals, flowers, etc will have a great impact on bathroom interiors. For example a mural on the wall showing baby animals taking a bath is a great choice for the kid’s bathroom wall decor. However for a master bathroom or teenagers bathroom use of mirrors on the walls will bring more attraction and the teenager will love it. So bathroom wall decor is all about fulfilling specific needs for the specific age group.

What are some good ways to decorate my home office to make it more inviting?
First of all, I live in a rental, so painting walls or any remodeling is out of the question. I am lucky enough to have an extra room dedicated to all of my business files, computer, etc. etc. but each time I sit down to do any work at home, I inevitably find myself on the couch (or the floor) of my living room in front of the TV with papers spread out all over.
I do have a small TV in the office room just for entertainment while doing boring tasks, but does anyone have any ideas for me so that I ENJOY going into this room and stop toting all my papers back and forth between the living room and the office?
Thanks! (my business thanks you too!

5 Home Office Decorating Ideas
These days, everyone needs a home office to pay the household bills and work on things that you’ve taken home from the office, but that’s no reason for the room to be boring! Here are some home office decorating ideas that will put some zing in your office.
Spice It Up With Color
No one wants to sit in a boring white room, even if you are in there to pay bills or work so why not put some bold splashes of color in the room to liven it up? Start with the walls and don’t be afraid to use something bright – you can always just paint over it later if you don’t like it! Choose 2 complimentary colors and use one for your major items like floors and walls and the other for accessories like pillows and desk “stuff” such as pencil holders and in baskets. Try to choose other items such as artwork that will pull the two colors together.
Go On Safari
Have an adventure in your office by giving it a safari theme. You can put in lots of plants – especially the large floor plants and paint the walls a rich golden tan or wallpaper with bamboo wallpaper. Use a dark mahogany desk for a rich look. How about a zebra or tiger striped rug? Be sure to use lamps, wastebasket, pencil holders and wall art that reflects the safari theme. You can find plenty of items that have elephants, giraffes, monkeys and the like on them to complete your look.
How About A Tropical Vacation?
One of my favorite home office decorating ideas is to give it a tropical theme – that way you can feel like you are on vacation even when you are working. Again, using plants is key to give the room a lush tropical feel. Use bright colors like sky blue or yellow on the walls and have bright tropical fabrics for your guest chairs and pillows. Try putting up palm tree and beach prints or paintings on the walls and keep your desk accessories in tropical colors.
Get A Skyline View
Did you always want an office with a view? Well you can have one in your own home by installing a wall mural that has a skyline view of any city you choose. These murals are pretty easy to put up since they come in two or 3 sheets and are just like wallpaper. This will really transform your room and you can sit at your desk and feel like you are in mahogany row on the top floor of a skyscraper!
Add An Art Collection
If your walls are boring, why not add an art collection to your office? Here you can put up dozens of paintings or photographs spaced evenly on the walls much like a gallery. It’s a great place to show off your collection and will give you added incentive to go into your home office.
Home office decorating ideas don’t have to be elaborate, just some simple changes can make your home office a more pleasant place to be. I can’t guarantee that you’ll get any more work done, but you’ll sure enjoy the room more!
